RIE® FOUNDATIONS: THEORY & OBSERVATION™

This 10-day intensive course is for students, parents (including expectant) and professionals looking to develop and deepen their understanding of infant development and care.

 

RIE® FOUNDATIONS: THEORY & OBSERVATION™ - a RIE® Certified programCourse content includes an overview of Magda Gerber’s Educaring® Approach -including gross motor, fine motor, and social-emotional development of the infant, designing the environment, planning the curriculum, and issues in parenting.

RIE® Foundations training can be applied in such settings as the natural family, childcare centres, and family childcare.

For over 50 years, RIE® has lead the world in education for infants and toddlers in early learning settings.

RIE® helps raise authentic infants who are competent, confident, curious, attentive, exploring, co-operative, secure, peaceful, focussed, self-initiating, resourceful, involved, inner-directed, aware and interested.

How do I prepare?

Prior to the commencement of the course, confirmed attendees will be required to complete some preparation work and purchase some key texts.

How much ?

The RIE® Foundations Course is $2,881 per participant,  with a non-refundable fee deposit of $1,400 required at time of registration to secure your place.
A minimum of 10 attendees is required for the course to go ahead.

Sharon Smith

Sharon Smith is a RIE® Associate based in New Zealand. She is a passionate advocate for our youngest citizens and their families.

Sharon consults with and mentors parents, professionals and teaching teams and offers professional development to Early Childhood Centre programs. She studied at the Pikler Institute in 2008 and 2012.

She presents workshops and seminars in NZ, Australia and USA. Sharon also facilitates RIE® Certified Parent-Infant Guidance™ Classes.
